The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, the CVM, and BBVCTO are connected to one of the nation's leading academic health centers. The Wexner Medical Center includes nationally recognized specialty programs, one of the country's largest cancer hospitals, a high-volume transplant program, a Tier 1 medical school for research, and a strong history of NIH-funded research. This environment fosters collaboration, innovation, and access to extensive research expertise and resources that support the advancement of clinical studies.

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, the CVM, and BBVCTO are connected to one of the nation's leading cancer research and treatment centers. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute in 1976, the OSUCCC is one of only 40 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States. The OSUCCC brings together scientists and clinicians from 14 Ohio State colleges through a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research, patient care, prevention, and community outreach, translating laboratory discoveries into innovative clinical applications. This collaborative environment supports advanced clinical trials, groundbreaking targeted therapies, nationally recognized oncology experts, formal mentoring and training programs, and a community of more than 1,500 cancer researchers. Together, these resources provide investigators and sponsors with access to extensive expertise, research infrastructure, and opportunities to advance translational research that benefits both human and veterinary patients.

The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), CVM, and BBVCTO are part of a collaborative research enterprise dedicated to accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into improved patient care. CTSI fosters multidisciplinary partnerships, provides resources and expertise to support clinical and translational research, and promotes innovation across the research continuum. As part of the national Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program, the institute works to speed the development, evaluation, and implementation of new diagnostics, treatments, and interventions, ultimately improving health outcomes for both human and animal populations.

The Ohio State University College of Medicine Department of Radiology, CVM, and BBVCTO have access to leading imaging research and innovation environment. The department supports clinical and translational research through the Radiology Research Office, which assists investigators with study feasibility assessments, radiology service planning, study implementation, and ongoing research support. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) advances the development and application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET) technologies through collaborations among scientists, physicians, engineers, and industry partners. In addition, the department houses specialized research programs, including the Laboratory for Magnetic Resonance Elastography, one of the few laboratories worldwide dedicated to developing and advancing MRE techniques. Together, these resources provide investigators and sponsors with access to advanced imaging expertise, innovative technologies, and a collaborative environment that accelerates translational research and the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital, CVM, and BBVCTO are connected to one of the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hospitals and research institutions in the United States.
