Thank you for your interest in the clinical trials program at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center (OSU-VMC). Referring veterinarians are essential partners in advancing veterinary medicine and improving outcomes for patients with naturally occurring diseases.
By referring patients to clinical trials at OSU-VMC, you provide access to advanced diagnostics, specialized veterinary expertise, and novel treatment opportunities that may not otherwise be available. These studies not only benefit current patients but also contribute to future advances in animal and comparative health research.
How to Refer a Patient
For a Specific Clinical Trial:
If you believe a patient may qualify for a clinical trial, please complete our Pre-Screening Survey. The information submitted will be reviewed to determine whether the patient may be eligible for enrollment.
For questions about available studies, please visit our Current Trials page or contact us at CVM-ClinicalTrials@osu.edu.
For Urgent Medical Needs
Patients requiring immediate medical attention should be referred directly to the Veterinary Medical Center. Please contact VMC Client Services at 614-292-3551 for assistance. The Clinical Trials Office is not equipped to manage emergency medical cases.
