Referral Partner Electronic Portals
To help streamline access and clinical information sharing with our referring veterinarian partners, the Veterinary Medical Center offers three online portals:
The rVetLink portal allows for electronic referrals of your patients to and the sharing of patient information with our specialty hospitals’ service areas. The CoreOne laboratory portal offers convenient and easy access to our clinical pathology and anatomic pathology labs, without having to call, email or fax. Our VetRocket teleradiology portal provides a faster means to get digital images to a radiologist for interpretation and back out to the practitioner to assist with case management.
The rVetLink portal is available for eReferrals and medical records information sharing between your practice and the VMC hospitals. If you already have log in credentials for the portal, please access the portal here. Please remember to use the practice email address and not your individual email address to log in.
If it is your first visit to the portal, please refer to the e-mail Welcome Letter that was sent to your practice with initial log in information. We have provided a video tutorial to assist with using the portal, as well as a downloadable pdf.
Should you need additional assistance, please contact CVM-OSUVETReferralCoordinator@osu.edu or call (614) 292-0950, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
For clinical diagnostic laboratory submissions, including autopsy, microbiology, digital cytology and flow cytometry please use the Core One Portal link below. Visit the helpful resources section below for more information about submissions in each laboratory service area.
Core One Portal [password required, see below]
If you forgot your password or if it is your first time using the portal, please click on the portal link above and enter the email address you typically use when doing business with our hospitals. There is a "forgot your password" button. Hit this button and you will be receive a password recovery link to set up a password, as long as you/your clinic email address is in our database. For a printable pdf tutorial on how to access the portal, followed by a tutorial for submitting an autopsy request, please click here.
Please note, BEFORE you inquire about an autopsy:
- Animals cannot be accepted for autopsy without prior request from a referring veterinarian.
- Submitting veterinarians will be billed for autopsy service and will receive autopsy results.
- Please remember, for large animals including equine, we cannot provide full cremation after an autopsy is performed.
- All remembrance items (e.g. fur clippings, pawprints) must be prepared by the referring veterinarian prior to sending remains for an autopsy. No remembrance items may be obtained after autopsy.
For submission guidelines, please visit the helpful resources section below.
If you have questions about submitting an autopsy request, please visit the anatomic pathology section of the VMC website here
Please note: At present, our teleradiology service is only accepting requests from Ohio-based practices. We apologize for any inconvenience to those outside of the state at this time.
The Veterinary Medical Center’s Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology Service offers interpretation of digital imaging studies using VetRocket, an online Teleradiology portal. Typically, consultations received by 3pm on a weekday will be interpreted that day. Those received after 3pm, and those received on weekends and holidays, will be reported the next business day. All images are evaluated by a clinical faculty radiologist and a report is sent to the referring veterinarian.
VetRocket portal access [username and password required, see below]
Access to the Teleradiology portal requires a username and password. Please call our Diagnostic Imaging Service at (614) 292-1040, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm EST, to set up a profile in the system. Please allow 24 hours for profile creation. You will receive an email from cloud@vetrocket.com with your clinic’s log in information and an AE title and IP address to use to send your images and request interpretation. For more information and submittal guidelines, please click here
The cost of the digital image interpretation services for radiographs is $75; for CT or MRI interpretation the cost is $150 per reading. For AAHA Radiographic Certification, the cost is $100. Please be sure to include the AAHA forms found on the AAHA website. Equine pre-purchase studies are $250.
