After Hours Urgent Care for Dogs and Cats
Our Dublin Veterinary Medical Center provides same-day urgent care services during evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
You and your pet have an alternative to visiting a full-scale emergency hospital when immediate attention is warranted, but emergency and critical care are not.

When you are concerned about your pet’s health, but it isn’t a life-threatening emergency, yet you don’t feel you should wait until your family veterinarian’s office is open, our experienced team of veterinarians, technicians and assistants are here to provide the highest level of care for your cat or dog when immediate attention is needed, but emergency room care is not.
All services are provided on an outpatient basis. All urgent care fees are due at the time of service.
For life-threatening emergencies, please contact our Columbus-based Emergency and Critical Care unit at 614-292-3551.
The Veterinary Medical Center-Dublin Urgent Care does not provide general wellness exams, vaccines, surgical procedures, or hospitalization. If you need a family veterinarian for general veterinary care, please visit Ohio State’s veterinary primary care facility.

What to Expect
If you call ahead while traveling to our facility, we will ask about the nature of your pet's urgent condition and gather initial history. Upon arrival, your pet will be taken back to our treatment area for immediate attention by one of our urgent care veterinarians. During this time, our customer service representative will greet you and get your pet registered. A veterinary technician will meet with you to gather any additional information needed and to provide updates until your pet is stabilized and the veterinarian can meet with you to discuss any further recommendations and next steps.
For walk-ins who were not able to call ahead, if your pet's condition is very urgent, you will be greeted by a technician or veterinary assistant who will take your pet into the treatment space where they will be immediately evaluated by a veterinarian. If not as urgent, please proceed to the front desk to register your pet and wait in our comfortable lobby. After registering at the front reception desk, one of our veterinary technicians will take you and your pet to a consultation room for a complete patient history and to perform the initial exam in preparation for a thorough examination by our urgent care veterinarian in our treatment space. Once an initial diagnosis is made, the veterinarian will meet with you to discuss potential diagnostic and treatment options and provide an estimate for you.
Everyone was kind, patient with my extra unfriendly cat, as thorough as I needed them to be, and eminently professional. I wouldn’t trust my senior cat's health to anyone else.
